I am a summer intern in the HCMI Lab at BYU. I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in engineering from Delhi Technological University, India.

Current Research

My work is focused on swarm robotics, and how we can use a swarm to track a pollutant dispersing in a fluid back to the source. Moreover, I will look at how a human might interact with and influence a subset of the swarm to help them perform the desired task better. THe simulations for this research are written in C++, and there are two main components:

Other Projects

As an undergrad student in India, I have had the opportunity to work on a number of different projects:

  • UAS DTU - Next-Gen UAV Development, autopilot control and path planning. Participated in AUVSI's Student UAS Competition. Mentored and sponsored by Lockheed Martin.
  • Robot Monitoring Suite - Designed and developed a remote desktop application to manage, program and control industrial robots from other computers over LAN or Internet at baseClass Automation in Budapest, Hungary.
  • Visiting Research Student, Cranfield University - Studied the significance of the Raspberry Pi in digital forensics, and designed and carried out an experimental plan to establish the potential forensic artefacts recoverable from a Raspberry Pi device.

Personal Interests

I am a huge soccer (football, as it should be called) fan and support the London based Chelsea F.C. club. Outside of football, I love reading all sorts of books. I have spent a considerable amount of time in the recent past reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series, and popular Physics books by Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan. I watch a lot of TV Shows and Movies, and frequently recommend these to friends who aren't such voracious consumers of film media.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to a lot of places, but I'm still only the third most traveled person in my family of four. Outside of India, I have been to, in chronological order - Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, England, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Wales, Scotland, United States of America.
